10% of all Jason’s sponsorships go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) receives 10% of all sponsorship funds. Why? Because Jason’s big sister, Jessica, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was just 2 ½ years old. Diabetes is a major part of our family – there is no “pit stop” for a person with Type 1 diabetes.
AB Motorsports has committed to supporting the mission of JDRF who is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF's goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until we achieve a world without T1D. As the largest charitable supporter of T1D research, JDRF is currently sponsoring $568 million in scientific research in 17 countries.
It is the Alder family’s greatest hope that one day there will be a cure for Jessica. With knowledge of the amazing research that JDRF finances, Jason’s parents chose to store his umbilical cord blood in the hopes that it can be used one day to cure his sister. His name – Jason – was chosen because it means “healer”. If his cord blood isn’t the key to a cure for this sister, his sponsorship revenue will certainly help to fund the researchers that are working so hard to heal her.
If you want to donate directly to JDRF, please go to www.jdrf.org and make a general donation or a tribute donation in Jessica Alder’s name.
