Start your engines and race against a national champion race car driver at a fun event for the whole family

Marietta, GA, April 7, 2019 – This is your chance to experience virtual and real racing against Jason Alder, the 2019 INEX Winter Nationals Semi Pro Champion on Sunday, April 7, from 2 to 5 pm at Andretti’s Indoor Karting and Games, 1255 Roswell Rd, Marietta GA 30062. You’ll have the choice of racing Jason on Andretti’s state of the art go-karts or their real-life racing simulator. Either way, we all win at this family event to benefit research for Type 1 diabetes.

Jason’s sister, Jessica, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was just 2 ½ years old. For over 17 years, diabetes has been a major part of Jason’s family. Jason and his race team, AB Motorsports, have committed to supporting the mission of JDRF, the leading global organization funding Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research.

JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D. As the largest charitable supporter of T1D, JDRF is currently sponsoring scientific research in over 20 different countries. Andretti’s in Marietta is also stepping up and supporting JDRF with this fun and exciting fundraiser.

Andretti’s has been a wonderful community partner to several nonprofits by offering special entertainment packages and events at their sites. This will be a unique family event not found anywhere.

It is the Alder family’s greatest hope that one day there will be a cure for Jessica. With knowledge of the amazing research that JDRF finances, Jason’s parents chose to store his umbilical cord blood in the hopes that it can be used one day to cure his sister. His name – Jason – was chosen because it means “healer”.
